JUST IN: Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says the resolution to honor Charlie Kirk's life brings "great pain" to millions of Americans.

It’s bad enough that AOC voted against a resolution honoring Charlie Kirk’s life, but it’s even worse that she had the audacity to throw in buzzwords like “unity” when her actions prove the opposite.
AOC was one of 57 Democrats to vote against the resolution to designate October 14, 2025, as a "National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.”
AOC should have ended her speech at the 30-second mark, because with every second she continued, she only became more despicable.
Let’s break this down.
Firstly, she claimed it was crucial to condemn the murder of Kirk given the political climate, yet she fails to acknowledge that it is the Left that has created much of the violence and remains the primary contributor to political unrest.
She’s correct that more and more everyday people feel at risk, but she’s wrong about the source of that fear. While she implies conservatives are the threat, the reality is almost certainly the opposite
She then proceeded to claim that honoring Kirk’s life is nothing but a “whitewashing of history,” a statement so deranged it’s astonishing she had the audacity to make it before the country. Even more baffling, she suggested that voting against the resolution was somehow a way to “unify” Congress.
I can’t think of anything more irritating than someone calling for unity while engaging in the most divisive behavior.
According to Fox News:
The U.S. Senate has passed a resolution declaring Oct. 14, 2025, the birthday of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
The new resolution designates the day as an opportunity for "Americans to reflect on Kirk’s contributions to public debate and civic engagement."
The resolution also recognizes Kirk for his contributions to civic education and public service and encourages educational institutions, civic organizations, and citizens across the United States to observe this day with appropriate programs, activities, prayers, and ceremonies that promote civic engagement and the principles of faith, liberty, and democracy that Charlie Kirk championed.
How exactly does she believe Charlie Kirk represented pain for Americans who endured “Jim Crow and segregation”? How did she conclude that Kirk embodied a “legacy of bigotry”? Not only has she clearly never watched his videos, but this kind of rhetoric is exactly what fueled this situation. You can’t just make things up and claim he caused “pain for those who suffered under Jim Crow” when he has nothing to do with it. Her statements are not only painfully naive—they are deeply deranged. This rhetoric is completely reprehensible and should be condemned in full.
It’s unclear how many times the Democrats will continue to prove how low they’ll stoop to make a point—yet AOC never fails to exceed those expectations. She hates him because she could never imagine being as influential or inspiring as he was. There is no more envious and hateful person than a radical socialist who is too blind to see their own shortcomings.
