Actor Rainn Wilson says “The Office” couldn't be made today because of how easily triggered certain people are over jokes

At one point in history, being politically incorrect was not an identity crisis. However, as the left became more and more unhinged over the years, so much so that anything can be taken as personally offensive these days, despite being jokes, we no longer have good comedy series. And according to actor Rainn Wilson, “The Office” would cease to exist if producers pitched it today, as the show is too politically incorrect for comfort.

Per People:
"I do feel like you couldn't make The Office today," Wilson said. "I think that would be too hard to be as politically incorrect as the show was. And I do, I do kind of miss that."
They replaced being politically incorrect with wokeness, and Hollywood has never been more pathetic and unwatchable.
“The whole point of the office is that Michael Scott is a boob,” Wilson said, adding that he and his character, Dwight Schrute, lack “self-awareness.”
Ironically, the left also lacks self-awareness. What a coincidence.
"We milked that for a lot of great, really inappropriate stuff," Wilson continued. "But even with the fact that painting that character as just an idiot, I don't think you could get away with it today."
This is the example he gave for one of the episodes that would be impossible to make today.

This is objectively funny. Anyone offended by this is too sensitive to function, and their offense is nothing more than a personal problem. Unfortunately, though, Hollywood has decided that ambiguous feelings are somehow a societal problem, and the solution is to make TV unwatchable.
It is unclear if Hollywood will ever get the hint that it is time for productions to be great again, as they continue to bomb at the box office, but clearly, they have no intent of making comedy funny again. To call this a disgrace would be putting it lightly.
