The problem with demanding the other side “affirm” your mental delusions, so much so that you cut off family members and cancel people into oblivion, is that it does not tend to win over those in the middle. And for a movement that relies entirely on lies, these bullying tactics end up having the opposite effect. This may be why the trans movement continues to lose popularity by the day, according to trans Rep. Sarah McBride.

LOL. While he reluctantly admitted some things, he also deeply missed the mark.

Per his remarks:

There is no question in my mind that many of the strategies that we employed over the last five years didn't work in staving off the regression. And I think that includes a strategy of shaming and blaming.

This is because shaming people for disagreeing with you is not how you win arguments. This is especially true when truth is not on your side. However, this is also precisely why they resort to these shaming and blaming tactics. When your entire movement relies on affirming lies, all you have left are ad hominem attacks. You cannot win over people this way, and the fact that the left continues to double down despite the evidence of this “regression” proves just how delusional these people are.

That includes a strategy of cutting off conversation and, in many cases, cutting off relationships. I think none of those strategies worked, and they not only didn't work, I think they often created even more space for those well-funded right-wing efforts to advance their regressive priorities. If I was speaking to an ally right now, the number one thing I would say is we need you to speak up, and we need you to stay in conversation with people who aren't on our side.

Again, cutting off relationships because people won’t affirm your delusions proves how immature and narcissistic many individuals in this movement truly are. In fact, it is the most selfish and self-obsessed movement in the history of movements. And worse of all, most of them frame themselves as some victim.

To claim the left went too far on the trans movement would be an understatement. But clearly, they truly cannot help themselves. How pathetic.
