Aaron Rodgers declares himself two-time COVID MVP as he roasts Jimmy Kimmel over feud: "I don't give a f***"
Aaron Rodgers joined Joe Rogan, and they dunked on Jimmy Kimmel some more. I doubt it will get as much attention as Rodgers on the Pat McAfee show. The Left thinks they can control McAfee since he's on ESPN (spoiler: nope). $250 million and a Spotify renewal later, I think they've given up on othering Rogan.
Which is a shame. Rodgers declaring himself a two-time SCHMOVID MVP is hilarious and the media outrage over it would have been delightful. It has the bonus of being true; he was a two-time NFL MVP during the SCHMOVID era. But if you're a gatekeeper of "the narrative," I doubt you'll see the humor in it. Or in Rodgers' comments on the controversy surrounding his radical belief he has a right to make his own medical decisions.
I don’t give a f*ck. I’ve been able to make a ton of money playing a sport that I’m really good at, and I’m thankful for that. I have a platform. Some people want you to just shut up and throw a football, and that’s fine. But I think there has to be certain voices of reason […] I believe that what I did and what I stand for is a tough position to be in. I think its an important responsibility to continue to speak up and use my voice to give other people the permission to stand up as well.

A conversation between Rodgers and Kimmel, or even Rogan and Kimmel, would be interesting. A conversation, and NOT an interview that is broken into five-minute segments. The last time the late-night "comedian" was remotely called to task for his narrative shilling was when Bill Maher pointed out how low-information Democrats were in the matter, but he laughed it off.
Kimmel thinks Rodgers is a bad person because the QB thinks he should make his own medical decisions. Is Kimmel a good person for saying people who have a different opinion than him about THEIR personal decisions should die in the streets? If he says he was just joking, I'd love to hear him diagram what's the set up and what's the punchline.
Also, at what point did we stop being allowed to question the motivations of Big Pharma? I've been watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory and one of the gags was the lack of ethics at the pharmaceutical company Bernadette worked at. Now, our late-night "comedians" are glorified sales reps for Pfizer.
The odds of Kimmel agreeing to a grown-up conversation are about as good as him admitting, "Whoops, I was wrong." Or, performing a monologue that makes you so much as smirk.
