Watch: Joe Biden mumbles his way around APEC with his BFF, President Xi
Americans take the threat of China very seriously. In fact, many people want Congress to start putting the interests of the American people first, as well as be tough on them.
Why wouldn’t we be tough on a government that engages in coercive population control methods, forced labor, arbitrary internment camps, torture, mass surveillance, family separation, and repression of religious expression?
But of course, that wouldn’t stop Biden from greeting President Xi Jinping with a warm handshake Wednesday as they missed each other so much since the last time they spoke was probably during the Chinese Spy Balloon incident, at least that we know of.
Pooh Bear is in San Francisco because of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperative Conference (APEC). This is the reason the progressive-run city was magically cleaned up last week.
APEC aims “to create greater prosperity for the people of the region by promoting balanced, inclusive, sustainable, innovative and secure growth and by accelerating regional economic integration,” according to its website.
According to the Washington Times, Beijing continues to blame America for problems in bilateral relations and urges Washington to “establish correct views” of China.
You know, because it’s the American’s government job to produce propaganda that negates the fact that the Chinese deprive citizens of their rights and systematically curtail freedoms as a way to stay in power.
Unfortunately, Biden just did not have much to say about this.
But he did come up with a joke later about the press as he must have forgotten that there is no freedom of the press in China as that could get you arrested.
“We hope the positive attitudes as shown by the US in recent interactions are not political calculations and tactical opportunism,” Xinhua said in an editorial, according to the outlet. “We hope the oral promises made will become concrete policies and actions.”
"We also have a responsibility to our people and the world to work together,” Biden said.
According to Fox News, Biden is set to strike a deal with China that would limit the use of artificial intelligence in nuclear weapons. Biden and Xi will agree to limit AI use in the systems for nuclear weapons as well as in drones.
Critics argue that this is essentially the U.S. giving up a strategic advantage it currently holds over China as it currently lags behind in AI.
"This is an incredibly poor decision," Alexander told Fox News Digital. "To begin with, China lags behind the U.S. in AI capabilities; so the Biden administration just ceded a strategic advantage. Additionally, AI helps reduce stress to improve decision-making, which is crucial in preventing a poor decision to release nuclear weapons."
Hours before Biden met with the communist dictator, the United States and China agreed to resume a working group and pledged a “major ramp-up of renewable energy,” according to CNN.
In other words, these costly energy policies will not only strengthen China but it will be at the expense of the American people.
Why does everything Biden does seem to always benefit China? On top of all that, China has a history of not honoring its agreements.
We deserve better than what is being dealt our way. The last thing that government officials should be doing is striking deals with a nation that is arguably so set on destroying freedom all around the world.
