So this happened. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez finally had her second broken clock moment and hit a right take, this time opposing congress people leveraging their experience as lobbyists after leaving Congress. Which is kind of a problem, to be sure. A problem Ted Cruz has long advocated against. So much so, Ted and AOC are now a thing. Here's what happened:

Here's something I don't often say either: AOC is right on this one. She's been right just once before, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Just Slammed Vox, Makes Perfect Point About Media's Personality Obsession, so praise and kudos are due to our favorite bug-eyed wonder when she manages to hit the right nail.

What we might have here is actual bipartisanship which won't require any watering down of principles. Politicos turning into lobbyists isn't good for the American people. That AOC agrees is excellent. If she and Ted can pull this off, I'll applaud them wildly!

Brian Schatz a senator from Hawaii also joined in.

Which means we've actually got something going here, that might actually benefit us all. And it all started with an AOC tweet. I know. Let that sink in.

Credit where due here. Let's applaud Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ted Cruz, Brian Schatz and urge them to make this happen. I fully believe when people in Congress make a stupid, they should be nailed for it. But when they make a smart, they should be praised. Change my mind.
