WATCH: Navy Admiral Slams Kaepernick's Anthem Protest
You're tired of hearing about Colin Kaepernick, I know. 49ers fans have felt the same way for the past five years. To his credit, he's become somewhat of a bringer-together of peoples by giving us all something in common (see 'Kaepernick Effect'? NFL Still Losing MAJOR Viewership Over Protests...). Six months ago an entire nation discovered that Colin Kaepernick is "black." We've since been saddled with the Kaep Curse, united under his social justice douchebaggery. Still others joined in on his trifling turdness.
As aforementioned, not everyone was impressed. On the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, one Navy admiral had a few things to say about it...
Hear that? That's the sound of a ton of people fed up with Kaepernick's crap. And no, it's not about freedom of speech. He can say anything he pleases, clearly. Although his sudden affinity for overpicking his "real" afro says everything we need to know. We support his right to the First Amendment. In fact, we encourage all weak-kneed ninnies to step kneel forward if they so choose. So we can LOL at you.
Recently late-night disappointment Trevor Noah asked "what an acceptable form of protest looks like." In short? Becoming a bitter, anti-anthem titan works if that's what you're into. It's not about limiting protest, it's about discussing the point of said protest.
Don't want the attention? Don't make desperate grabs for attention on national television. Yes, I'm sure he knelt under the weight of living in an oppressive, systemically flawed, racist dystopia. Before going home to one of his mansions and having baron of beef served to him by his live-in, five star chef.
See, the left wants to stomp all over your cake and force you to eat it too. They claim to support free speech in the form of protest, but you don't get to say anything about it. They care about First Amendment rights, but only when it's convenient and as it applies to them. Exclusively. When someone pipes up with a differing opinion? You don't get to tell them to sit down and shut up. So sit down and shut up.
