Some of it is gallows humor. It's not that faking a hate crime is particularly funny. But Jussie got caught. We found out it was a hoax because Jussie wasn't making enough money. And, he paid the two assailants with a check.

Yes, a check. A paper check. Seriously, who the hell pays by check anymore? I've had the same checkbook for five years and haven't needed to request any more. I only send a check when I WANT A PAPER TRAIL. Seriously, Jussie. What a dingbat. So if he didn't think people would LOL at him over that, fat chance.
