WATCH: AOC Wants You to Know Her Generation is More Badass Than You
From the offset, let's set the ground rules that this isn't a Millennial bashing column. There are good Millennials and there are bad Millennials (see Dan Crenshaw Teaches AOC a Lesson About the Electoral College and Dan Crenshaw Sheds Light on AOC’s ‘Immigrants Drink Toilet Water’ Fib). Some are normal people who just fall into the age group, which is this moment's national punching bag. Others, like AOC, inhibit every bad Millennial stereotype right on down the avocado toast line. Just ask the "badass" herself.

I think young people are more informed and dynamic than their predecessors. I think they’re profoundly courageous, because they’re willing to puncture more taboos and have conversations that, frankly, older generations sometimes struggle to have.
I think this new generation is very profound and very strong and very brave, because they’re actually willing to go to the streets. How ’bout that?
Here's my favorite:
Previous generations have just assumed that government’s got it. Let me tell you something... you are the government.
Previous generations wanted the government to leave them alone, and not want the government running every aspect of their lives. But that's beside the point.
Younger generations have generous inflations of their self-worth. I know mine did. The Greatest Generation probably did with their parents as well. But explain to me what exactly is courageous about today's youths expressing opinions knowing they have the full backing of media, the entertainment industry, and Big Tech?
Badass is protesting, knowing you can lose it all. Badass is not leftists "taking to the streets" in leftists cities where everyone agrees with them. Not actually knowing what you're talking about as much as knowing how lit it will be if a police officer arrests you with plastic zip ties so that you can post it to social media and rack up some "likes." As far as I know, YouTube is the only social media platform with a dislike button.
To be clear, when AOC means "her generation," she just means the members of it who tell her how smart and pretty she is. Not the badasses who have the courage to express a single contrarian thought to the left viewpoint on any college campus in America. Not Millennials who are the real counter-culture by being conservative, and not going with the flow as a socialist.
