Can anyone name a single positive thing the United Nations has done for the world? No? Didn’t think so. That’s why Trump said what needed to be said: we’ve got 99 problems, and the UN causes nearly all—or at least a big chunk.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly on September 23, President Donald Trump didn’t hold back, accusing the organization of allegedly supporting migration to the southern border. He called it a glaring contradiction, arguing that an organization meant to prevent invasions is, in his view, actually helping people make their way to American soil. If that’s true—which I don’t doubt for a second—it would make the UN a major contributor to one of the worst border crises in American history. The fact that they continue to expect funding is not only unreasonable but deeply reprehensible.

According to the CBC:

U.S. President Donald Trump delivered his first in-person address to the United Nations General Assembly in seven years on Tuesday, telling those assembled that "your countries are going to hell" due to green energy policies and what he characterized as runaway migration.

According to Trump, while 'Europe reduced its carbon footprint by 37%,' there has been 'a global increase of 54%.' His point: as Western nations do everything in their power to drag themselves back into the Stone Age, the rest of the world recognizes just how impractical—and even suicidal—that path really is.

It’s almost comical that all those exhaustive efforts ended up meaning nothing, as the rest of the world laughs these so-called 'green energy' policies into oblivion.

Trump defended the efforts of his administration to secure its southern border and warned of the "death of Western Europe" from migration. He also took aim at UN programs that support the world's refugees.

According to the President, 'almost 50% of inmates in German prisons are foreign nationals or migrants,' and 'in Switzerland, the figure is 72%.' This is what happens when every individual is treated as if they’re not here illegally—you end up letting in some of the worst people while failing to maintain anything resembling a competent vetting process.

People shouldn’t have to live in fear in their own country, but that’s the reality across much of Europe, where open-border policies continue to wreak havoc on once-great nations.

The United Nations has, in my view, done nothing but wreak havoc on the world’s most prosperous countries, and it’s time this organization was disbanded. If any bureaucracy deserves to be dismantled, it’s surely the UN.
