Country radio refused to let these singers perform their new patriotic anthem, and they're sharing their story
Itβs unclear why the left has made national pride political, but that tells you all you need to know about them.
The Dugger Band, a country music duo, was told to pick a different song to perform on WSMV's "Today in Nashville" show, because their song, "True Colors," was too political by woke standards.
Dugger Band, a country music brother duo from Tennessee, were reportedly sent a letter from the show 'Today in Nashville on @WSMV' telling them that they weren't allowed to perform their new song "True Colors" because it's "politically biased."

According to The Music Universe:
Nashville TV station WSMV has allegedly refused to allow country duo Dugger Band to perform their patriotic song, βTrue Colors,β on its airwaves. Brothers Jordan and Seth Dugger, who wrote the track and teamed with country superstar John Rich to produce, were scheduled to perform it on Today in Nashville on Wednesday (Mar 12th). However, they received an email on Tuesday (Mar 11th) by station management stating that the lyrics were deemed too βpolitically biasedβ and recanted their offer for that song.
The brothers read the email on camera which states, βSo sorry that I didnβt raise this flag before, but weβre just now really looking into the lyrics of the song. The song does cross a political line that we as a station cannot cross. We as a show and the station do not allow any politically biased songs on either side of the line. Weβre going to have to ask the band to perform a different song on Wednesday. We could still mention that they recently released it, but we will still need to explore a different song to perform. Please let us know if you have any questions or how we can help make this change.β
The fact that these people claimed a song about pride in one's nation is βpolitically biasedβ tells you all you need to know.
If loving America is politically incorrect, what is the end goal for these people?
The fact that they not only despise America but refuse to hear other people talk about it favorably makes this so much worse.
βWe wrote this song because weβre proud to be Americans and weβre tired of people putting the USA down,β the Duggers state. βIβll quote the lyrics from the course of our song βTrue Colors.β βI ainβt leaving here / Iβm an eighth generation God fearing blue collar with the flag waving / I donβt wait for the Fourth of July / Itβs year-round lifelong American pride / Right here right now / Iβm drawing the line / If this country ainβt something you can stand behind / Then thatβs the difference between between me and you / Because my true colors are red light and blue.β We decided not to perform a different song on WSMV because our freedom of speech is worth more than their publicity.β
Question: What if the song was dedicated to the Canadian national anthem? Would that have been more politically correct for these people? Nonetheless, the efforts to cancel this duo failed, as they are currently number two on the iTunes country chart.
UPDATE! β¦@Dugger_Bandβ© is at #2 on the ITunes country chart! They'll be posting a video soon to follow up:) Special shoutout to liberal Nashville network, @wsmv for disallowing their performance of the song! You have made these boys famousπΊπΈ pic.twitter.com/cSWxDzko2m

So it turns out that hating America may not be as popular as the station assumed. Who would have guessed?
Here is the song that the station claimed their listeners couldn't bear to hear.
Good morning, X
"I ainβt leaving here, Iβm an 8th generation, God-fearing, blue-collar with the flag wavingβ¦" πΊπΈπ₯
WSMV tried to silence Dugger Bandβs True Colors, but patriotism wonβt be canceled! This song is pure American pride, year-round.
