Australian Football League Bans Transwoman From the Field. Leftists Rage...
In a rare show of spine against the transgender movement, an Australian football league put its foot down. The AFL wouldn't let a hulking gender dysphoric man into the woman's competition. Because, no crap, he's a man.
Transgender footballer Hannah Mouncey's application for the AFLW draft has been rejected.
Mouncey, who played for Ainslie in the AFL Canberra women's competition, was denied on the grounds that the physical disparity would give her an unfair advantage.
"The AFL has made a decision that the physical disparity between Hannah and other AFLW players is significant, in that it would have an effect on the AFLW competition and give rise to an unreasonable advantage," an AFL statement read.
The 190cm, 100kg Mouncey, began transitioning from male to female in 2015 and was formerly a member of the Australian men's handball team who failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics in 2016.
Burly men who want to hang with the girls at the mall, wear stilettos, and pretend their barbie are nothing new. Because despite the left's most ardent attempts, biology is a thing. More "transwoman" are joining women's sports leagues, regardless of actual science and constant calls for "equality." These she-men are dominating the competition with unfair advantages. It's called "testosterone." It's powerful hormone, not a societal construct. It can't be erased with a chant. Or childish protest sign.
But green eyeshadow wearing, blue-haired people of gayness "just can't" with both biology and the audacity of the AFL, which told Mouncey to bugger off.
Yes. You get a brownie point for your accuracy.
I take that point back. Go back to school. Preferably 6th grade where they teach basic anatomy. Pack your Crayolas.
Unfortunately, all the backlash wasn't from no-named, no-gender harpies. A few blue checkmarks dashed into the fray.
For years @AFL leveraged #LGBTQ rights as a branding exercise. Faced with a challenge of practical implementation it squibed it. Typical.— Francis Leach (@Francis Leach) 1508218463.0
Confused: AFL says YES to same sex marriage and NO to Hannah Mouncey. Isn't it all about inclusion...— Mark Robinson (@Mark Robinson) 1508218381.0
Aw snap. Mr. Mark up there is one of AFL's writers. Probs not for long. Though he brings up a good point about how one (gay marriage) is tied with the other (trans "rights"). We've seen that in America, yeah?
Then comes sanity.
@allisongallaghr Afl made a good choice, I'm a very progressive person but i draw the line at sports— Reece McKenzie (@Reece McKenzie) 1508236649.0
Mr. McKenzie looks to be a professional futbol player himself. Given he comes from a position of authority, we can be glad for his somewhat stable mind. Even though the rest of his feed is covered in anti-Trumpness. We take what we can get.
In case anyone needed some clarification: women's sports are for women. So women can play sports. They are not for men to play in so they might feel good about themselves. Women's sports for women. Men's sports for men. We clear on that?
Speaking of linebacker-sized trannies, this one thinks he's a 6-year-old girl. Yes, really.
