Rashida Tlaib took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. It is unclear how she took “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” to mean “The political structures that I have to work in, that we are surrounded by, were built on slavery and genocide and oppression,” but I digress. The point, however, remains that if she believes this to be true, then she never intended to uphold her oath. That should be a bigger scandal than it is, so much so that she should be barred from ever holding elected office again. Yet, here we are, as she panders to the DSA over how she will, in fact, tear this country down.

A resurfaced clip of Tlaib speaking at the People's Conference for Palestine in 2025 proves what everyone already knew to be true -- which is that her intent was never to defend this country and always to tear it down.

There are so many things wrong with what she said. Firstly, she claimed the political structures she “has” to work in. This is bizarre because she never had to run for office, but she did so pretending she was all in it to defend this country and the American people. To call her entire political career disingenuous would be an understatement.

Secondly, if she actually took the time to read the Bill of Rights, she would understand that none of those founding principles are what she says they are. How do you take the message “all men are created equal” and equate that to “oppression”? We truly are dealing with some of the dumbest people to ever walk this earth.

She cannot even name a country that has a more morally superior set of founding principles. She stands up there pretending she is fighting for the people of Palestine, as she bashed America, when she is defending a government known for some of the worst human rights abuses in the world. It should be illegal to be this stupid and still serve in elected office.
