The Cop Who 'Pulled a Gun' on Black Kids? Here Are the FACTS ...
There's a reason why we say "wait for facts" before reacting to videos involving police officers. It's because we know how dishonest a lot of the people who push the videos are, to say nothing of the people in the media who will run any viral video they see that helps them promote their agenda. I'm sure you saw this viral video from your #DefundThePolice friends (see POLL: AMERICANS OVERWHELMINGLY OPPOSE #DEFUNDTHEPOLICE and TELL YOUR #DEFUNDTHEPOLICE FRIEND TO LISTEN TO THIS JOCKO PODCAST AND STFU). An officer pointed his gun at a group of black kids, and the only reason they are alive right now is because residents saved them.
Now here are the actual facts.
Roberts said the officer, who hasn't been identified, was concerned for everyone's safety, that he had to deal with a hostile crowd and he had no idea that the weapon the teens had was a BB gun.
He pulled his weapon, but Roberts said once he determined there was no threat, he just talked to them.
"From a distance, it looks, it can appear, totally real," Roberts said. "No way to know until they investigate the call."
The chief said everyone made it home safely, and that the officer even talked to those kids like a father, telling them about the dangers of carrying something that looks like a weapon.
Interesting. I wonder where that video is of the cop talking to the kids. Surely the person who uploaded the video to YouTube and/or sent it to the media saw this happen. Otherwise, one might assume the person uploading the video or the media running the video might have an agenda.
If nothing else, the cop should be thankful this wasn't New York City. The mayor would already have had him fired and had the entire department defunded just to score political points.
A police officer's job is hard enough, and this country is suffering from enough turmoil as it is. The last thing we need is people creating more of it where it doesn't exist just for video clicks.
