A twenty-two-year-old woman mistook her new job at an Oklahoma High School for a speed dating service. She is now fired and incarcerated for having an inappropriate relationship with a student two weeks after accepting employment.

Ashley Waffle -- I swear that the New York Post swears that's her name -- was hired as a temporary teacher's aide with Granite Public Schools. Two weeks later, Waffle started sliding into a sixteen-year-old student's DMs on Snapchat. That was her first mistake.

Actually, no. Her first mistake was not knowing having sex with a high school student is wrong. Her second mistake was contacting a high school student via a social media app about having sex with that high school student. The third mistake is not listing to Miranda Lambert's "Everybody's Famous in a Small Town" and starting a sexual relationship with a student in a small town of fewer than 2000 people.

You should expect a grown adult to know better. You can't expect a sixteen-year-old to not be bragging to his friends "Dude, I'm banging my teacher."

Waffle was hired on October 10th. She started sexing up the student on October 25th and was fired on November 10th. She is now a guest at the Greer County jail where she faces two counts of second-degree rape.

Waffle joins 2022's growing list of teachers who mistook their job at a high school for Tinder. Though two weeks may be a record. And, no, other teacher's aides. It is NOT a record you should try breaking,
