Someone should inform officials in Illinois that their job is to represent the American people and not foreign nationals. Based on their actions, they seem to be doing a lot to ensure criminal foreign nationals are afforded special rights, all at the expense of the American people. But what else is new?

A former Illinois teacher who previously broke federal immigration laws was taken into custody by federal officers on Monday. The criminal alien, Giovanna Mercedes Moreno Occhipinti, was also involved in a 2024 Tren de Aragua mass shooting that killed several people in 2024. The worst part about all of this is that she was previously taken into custody on charges related to these crimes, but was released because of the state’s sanctuary policies, all while officials never informed federal authorities. And to claim the state knowingly put the American people in danger by releasing her back into the public would be an understatement.

Per Fox News:

On the night of the Dec. 2, 2024, shooting, she allegedly drove the two gunmen—Ricardo Granadillo Padilla and Edward Martinez Cermeno—to the scene of the crime, where five people were injured in addition to the three fatalities, authorities said.

Martinez Cermeno was released from ICE custody in January 2025 after a federal judge determined that federal prosecutors failed to meet their burden of proof to keep him incarcerated while awaiting trial.

Immediately after the shooting, authorities found multiple weapons in Occhipinti’s vehicle, DHS said. Authorities believe she helped Granadillo Padilla and Martinez Cermeno evade law enforcement after the attack.

Despite all of this, the state still believed she had a right to be released back into the public. This is infuriating, to say the very least.

The Chicago Police Department arrested Occhipinti on Dec. 5, 2024, on charges of unlawful use of weapons and other weapons offenses. However, she was released without ICE ever being notified under Chicago's sanctuary policies, which protect illegal immigrants from federal immigration authorities.

Do you need any more evidence that the left despises the very people they are elected to represent? Because in the pathetic pursuit of whatever this is, three people are dead, and a woman was granted special rights, all under the lie that no human is illegal. This is unacceptable, and the fact that it continues across the nation should be much more of a scandal than it is.

The next time your leftist friend expresses astonishment that Donald Trump won, remind them of stories like this. Time and again, the American people have proven how much they hate illegal immigration. The fact that officials refuse to acknowledge that is a scandal that should bar them from ever holding office again. What a disgrace all of this is.
