Watch: What a disgrace that actor Simu Liu is
Watch Louder with Crowder every weekday at 11:00 AM Eastern, only on Rumble Premium
Simu Liu, a famous Asian Canadian, has some opinions, and those opinions are trash. Today’s show breaks this down.
While appearing on Canada’s version of Shark Tank in 2024, Liu criticized a drink brand that claimed to have “transformed” boba tea.
“The left will say you are racist if it makes you upset that X person committed this crime — we say this is impermissible. The left says it makes me sad that this person is successful, it makes me sad that this business is successful, it makes me sad that this person started a business and has too much money, and they wage class warfare, but it's more wrong for you to be upset that people commit crimes,” Crowder said. “They're upset over success; you are upset over criminality.”
According to NBC:
After he took a sip from a bottle, Liu, who joined the show as a guest Dragon on Thursday, said he thought it tasted “fine” but that he was concerned about “this idea of ‘disrupting’ or ‘disturbing’ bubble tea.” He mentioned the possibility of cultural appropriation, saying he takes issue with the concept of “taking something that’s very distinctly Asian in its identity and, quote unquote, making it better.”
Ironically, Liu starred in the first Marvel film to be denied screening in China after “accidentally” referring to China as the third world.
“He’s just another white-hating Asian,” Crowder said.
Last Week, Liu wrote on X that he was “so freaking proud of eileen gu. inspirational, resilient, intelligent and well spoken in two languages.” Previously, he also mentioned that “asian representation at the winter olympics is just sublime…. it’s so phenomenal to see so many asians who grew up all over the world shining on the world’s biggest stage. you’re undeniable! Bravo!!!”
“The reason it bothers Americans so much is that these people stand on the shoulders of what the United States built and say that someone else could build it better, but they never did,” Crowder said.”
Liu also criticized how the writers of the show he starred in, Kim’s Convenience, were too White.
“This guy is just a race grifter. He’s a hateful, bigoted, little person,” Crowder said. “The market is dictated by the United States. He's doing American films.”
