Shocking news broke in the Maine Senate race. Turns out, Graham Platner is a scumbag. Allegedly. An ex-girlfriend has accused him of rape. On an unrelated note, Platner has fallen behind Sen. Susan Collins in the polls, and if he drops out this week, Democrats can still overturn the will of the people who voted for him and install a new candidate. After all, Platner was never "vetted."

That's the new talking point that democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) are running with. After the nazi tattoo, and the antifa-coded Reddit posts, and the fact that he hung out on an app known for sexual predators, and the fact that he regulary attacked veterans and wished they died, and after a different accusation of abuse, it is this most recent story that made all of his defenders decide all at once and using the same verbiage that, golly, maybe we didn't vet Platner.

He was vetted. People knew all these things and a whole bunch of Democrats in Maine showed up and voted for him anyway. And a bunch of donors from around the country sent him money anyway.

You already signed off on Nazi tattoo, a self-described communist, somebody who’s had rape fantasies, somebody who has been on a social media platform known as a playground for predators… and on and on and on.

And the difference between this accuser and the previous one is simply this: she’s a liberal. It’s okay, I guess, for Democrats that their candidate’s assault conservatives.

Oh yeah, I forgot. The ex-girlfriend who spoke out with credible allegations before this more recent ex-girlfriend spoke out was a conservative. The New York Times turned it into a story about how she was a conservative activist who, oh by the way, may have been assaulted by Platner.

This new accuser agrees with him politically, but was willing to excuse the (alleged) rape because it was more important to beat Susan Collins.

Graham Platner being a POS notwithstanding, the cynicism of this and the next (?) story is why people hate politics. Allegedly there is another story, If I were to guess? Democrats made the call to hold it so they can use the threat of it coming out to "convince" Platner to drop out of the race after Maine voters ignored everything they heard and voted for him anyway.

No one on the left and the media (but I repeat myself) cared about Platner (allegedly) sexually assaulting women. The New York Times had this new story and other stories, but chose to make it about a Republican ex-girlfriend attacking him so that he could use it as a campaign attack.

All they care about is putting the hit out because he’s down in the polls and they need to force him out while they can still Joe Biden themselves a new candidate. The leading name I see being tossed around is Troy Jackson. Who endorsed Platner.
