Hell hath frozen over! I am about to agree with Al Sharpton.

Pelosi came out the other day to warn Olympic athletes not to speak out against China while competing in the genocide Olympics. You see, Pelosi is a gutless, spineless, worm—like most politicians—and she’d rather not upset the despicable, murderous Communist Party regime led by a dictator that looks like Winnie the Pooh.

“Do not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless.”

What a remarkably stupid thing to say. What a cowardly sack of sh*t. But I suppose such shameless cowardice is to be expected from a party that seems to be in the pocket of the CCP or at least doesn’t do anything that might jeopardize the cozy relationship they have.

Luckily, this position doesn’t sit well with most people, including the almost universally despicable Al Sharpton. And it makes me feel queasy to type this, but he’s absolutely correct here.

“I respectfully disagree with the speaker here […] because you cannot normalize what they’re doing in China. And to go there and act like all is well is to normalize some very brutal behavior. I think that it would be incumbent upon them to say, ‘This is not the way the world ought to be functioning.’ […] We’re suppose to leave our principles of protest when we check in at customs? I don’t think so.”

Hey, one must give credit where credit is due, and Sharpton is on the right side of this situation. One would hope this position were universal, but sadly, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Frankly, I find it a little disgusting that countries, including the US, would participate in the Olympics being held in China this year, but if they’re going to, they shouldn’t be silent about the atrocities being committed by the despotic government.

There are certain things that go beyond political parties and ideological arguments, and I would hope the subject of the genocide being committed by China is one of those topics.
