Scott Jennings is the first to say "I told you so" now that Democrats have bent the knee and ended the Schumer Shutdown

The Schumer Shutdown is over. Or, it's about to be over once the House votes on something or another. After over a month of Democrats holding the government hostage because Chuck Schumer is scared to death of social media influencer Rep. AOC, the government can finally open back up. Oh, and also because the election is over. Scott Jennings is the first to say "I told you so," sharing this clip of him saying so ON election night.
Right again. Called it on Tuesday night. Dems could’ve done this deal 35 days ago. Purely political. They hurt people for nothing other than politics. pic.twitter.com/cdcDS51BpC

The details of the deal are...

Like with all shutdowns, everything is stupig. You can check the details out if you care. The tl;dr is this:
To be clear: John Thune (and Senate Republicans) offered the EXACT deal Democrats are taking -- a promise to debate and vote on ACA subsidies -- weeks ago.
Why is NOW when 7 Senate Dems decide to give in?

Democrats didn't get their temporary Obamacare tax credits renewed, which we were told was the reason they were holding the government hostage. But again, the election is over, so now they are ok with holding a vote on the temporary tax credits so they can all give speeches virtue signalling about health care (that they themselves destroyed passing Obamacare in the first place) and about how Elon Musk has too much money.
Here's what most likely happened:
1. Democrats got what they wanted on Election Night.
2. Eight Democrats who aren't up for reelection in 2026 or who are retiring were told to vote for the deal.
3. The other Democrats can post videos on social media pandering to their extremist base, saying it's a bad deal.
4. All the Democrats in the House can do the same, along with Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Everyone can go back to their corners until it's time for the next shutdown in January, which I'm going to guess will come either right before or right after Donald Trump's State of the Union address.
Now, for Republicans, it presents us with a very interesting development. This is the first time in fifteen years I can imagine such a bright spotlight shining on how unaffordable the "Affordable" Care Act is and has always been. It creates an excellent opportunity to do something about that.
The rub is we've been waiting for the right to do something about it for fifteen years.
