Trump sent in troops to Los Angeles and Gavin Newsom is not happy about this. However, Trump can and should do this because it’s an insurrection.

About 700 active-duty Marines have arrived in Los Angeles to join National Guard troops who were sent to the city to respond to protests over federal immigration enforcement, a defense official said Tuesday morning.

Northern Command said the Marines would "seamlessly integrate" with hundreds of members of the National Guard to protect "federal personnel and federal property." They have been trained in "de-escalation, crowd control and standing rules for the use of force," the military added. Under federal law, the military cannot be used for domestic law enforcement purposes without the president invoking what's known as the Insurrection Act, a step President Trump has not taken.

The defense chief was appearing before lawmakers on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, telling a House committee that "we believe ICE agents should be allowed to be safe in doing their operations and we have deployed National Guard and the Marines to protect them in the execution of their duties because we ought be able to enforce immigration law in this country."

Many on the left, including Mayor Karen Bass, are upset about this, with Bass claiming that “it’s not helpful.” However, the reason why this was needed in the first place was because people like her refused to do the most basic functions of their jobs, while not even pretending to care about the least bit of public safety enforcement.

"Cars were being firebombed, stores were being looted, police were being assaulted, and so were innocent bystanders. [Bass] didn’t address it, so the National Guard and Marines will be deployed to protect the rights of their citizens," Crowder said. “There can be an application of force to protect your rights or to infringe upon your rights. And so, when they talk about Dreamers and DACA, what they really mean is, ‘Yeah sure, $150 billion is what it costs the taxpayer each year, but you don’t want to be racist, do you?’"

According to Crowder, there is no doubt this is an insurrection.

US code 2383 states that “Rebellion or insurrection is a federal offense that criminalizes inciting, engaging in, or giving aid and comfort to any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or its laws.” This includes “a violent uprising or organized resistance against the government or its regulations.”

"Popular doesn’t mean right—enforcing the law is right. But now you have a majority of Americans who support enforcing the law, and the left is refusing to let your vote count," Crowder said. “This is what you voted for, this is what you support, and the numbers keep going up in terms of support—yet the left keeps saying, ‘Not on our watch.’ I don’t know how that could be defined as anything other than an insurrection.”
