PragerU Nails it with Brief History on How Government Health Standards Led to American Obesity
When it comes to your health and your weight, you're responsible for you. The government is only really good at screwing things up, giving bad information, or performing an overall lousy job at [pick the thing]. You already knew that which is why you're reading louderwithcrowder.com and not skipping over to HuffPo. Our compadres over at PragerU hit a great point in their video about how the government, through junk science and the food pyramid, led to a rise in obesity.
So when AOC or Bernie Sanders clamors about how cows are bad, vegan soy packed miracle meat is good, remember they're idiots working for the government. Which is idiocy cubed. On the bottom of the food pyramid, taking up the most space, should be things like meat: turkey, pork, chicken, and BEEF. Above that, healthy fats and vegetables like avocados, spinach, kale, olive and coconut oil. Above that, maybe some complex carbohydrates and dairy like sweet potatoes, cheese, yogurt, kefir, etc. And at the very tipy top, the grains the current pyramid puts on the bottom.
In short, what the government harped on healthwise since the 1970s is pure shit. Sorry if you think your "heart healthy" cereal is good for you. It probably isn't. Yes, even if it has a graphic of a heart on it.
Generally speaking, if you want to lose weight, low carb, high protein is the way to go. Note how I say "in general." Some people are more fat adaptive, others more carb adaptive. Especially high-performance athletes who don't need to lose weight so much. So to the carb-aholic looking to blast me for suggesting maybe a New York Strip is a better option than a bowl of pasta, calm your likely bodacious man tits. Do what you want, just figure it out on your own and don't rely on mommy government to supply accurate health information. Because that's the entire point: you are responsible for you. You're responsible for monitoring your own health, for deciding what gets shoved in your face hole during the day and night, and how whatever you cram into your porker affects your health.
