'Pawn Stars' Star: Outing Myself as a Republican Has Hurt Business
Katy Perry performs for Hillary Clinton, Conservatives don't care. A list of celebrities support Bernie Sanders, Conservatives roll their eyes. Rick Harrison, star of reality show 'Pawn Stars' endorses Marco Rubio, and the left goes absolutely bananas. You can watch the full interview at CNN here. But below is a taste of just where he stands.
"I suddenly became famous and I was the one willing to throw my career away to endorse a Republican. When you endorse a Republican, everyone sort of frowns on you. I don't know why, but hey... It does worry me to a degree [I could lose my show]. You get these massive liberal PC police, they don't see the law of unintended consequences. It's not a perfect world we live in. You can't raise kids that way and then just throw them out in the world because it's not a perfect world."
The sadder thing? While uber rich celebrities' drooling over themselves is trumped only by their drooling over uber rich Hillary Clinton, what directed Harrison to Rubio was his blue collar, working class family roots. Sound familiar? (Read more about Mike Rowe's Open Letter to Entitled Liberals here)
Guess what upsets leftists more? The fact that Harrison (to his credit) has the balls not to care.
“If you’re a celebrity and you endorse a Republican, it’s sort of like career suicide. But I’m at a point in my life where I don’t care… I’m a well-off guy and I care about my kids. You know what I mean?"
Yes, Rick. We do know what you mean. Unfortunately, the left will just say that you're racist, sexist and don't care about children because you don't believe in giving them more free stuff. Because everyone know that people who truly care about kids give them stuff that's paid for by other people. Because compassion.
Sidetone: This guy runs a pawn shop in Las Vegas. Who'd have ever guessed that his slimiest patrons would be liberals?
