NY taxpayers paid 14 people up to shovel the same pile of snow, thanks to Mamdani

How many New Yorkers does it take to clear up one single pile of snow? At least 14.
NEW: 1,400 New Yorkers have signed up for the city's emergency snow-shoveling program, which requires residents show two forms of ID to qualify.
The update comes as Democrats refuse to support the SAVE Act, which would require people to show ID to vote.

At least 1,400 New Yorkers have signed up for the emergency shoveling worker program. This may or may not be why it takes nearly 15 people to pretend to shovel one spot. This is because when it takes $30 an hour to shovel snow, it comes as no surprise that the workers might be incentivized to take as long as humanly possible to shovel one spot.

The pay originally started at $19 an hour, and increased to $28.71 an hour after the first 40 hours worked in a week. However, due to the city receiving more than a foot of snow under blizzard conditions this week, New York City increased the pay to $30 an hour and $45 an hour after 40 hours.
But city workers pretending to shovel snow to get a paycheck is not the biggest scandal that came out of this. It’s that the city cares more about people proving who they say they are to operate a shovel than they did when it comes to elections.
Applicants must bring two original forms of ID, plus copies if possible, and a Social Security card.
The doubled standards are so loud with this one that even Trump was forced to call out this leftist hypocrisy during his State of the Union speech.

The “logic” behind not requiring voter ID is so illogical that one can only wonder: What are their true motives behind not passing the SAVE Act? Surely, if it is valid to know shovelers are who they say they are, then it must be valid to know voters are also who they say they are. Why is this so controversial?
According to Pew Research, “More than nine-in-ten Republicans (95%) and about seven-in-ten Democrats (71%) favor requiring all voters to show government-issued photo identification to vote.”
The left refuses to give the people what they want. Someone should really inform them that their job is to represent the interests of the American people, not their own partisan motives. The sooner this happens, the better off this country will be. Until then, do not expect anything more than the left putting its attempted power grab above the interests of voters. But what else is new?
