An 11-year-old boy who identifies as a transgender girl was selected as grand marshal of Orlando‘s Come Out With Pride Festival. Dempsey Jara is the youngest person ever chosen for this role.

“Being transgender is not about a choice,” Dempsey said while wearing a princess-style floral gown, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “It’s about being true to myself. It’s about embracing who I am even when the world tries to tell me otherwise. It’s about standing tall in my identity even when it’s really hard.”

Jara paraded in an open-top car through the streets of Orlando while he wore heart-shaped sunglasses, and waved to the crowd while holding a puppy.

“She’s just always gravitated toward girl things, girls’ toys,” the child’s mom, Jaime Jara, told the outlet. “She’d say, ‘I’m a girl in my heart and my brain.’ She’s been on this journey since she was five and she’s living her best life.”

The pre-teen claimed that being transgender is not a choice.

“It’s about being true to myself. It’s about embracing who I am even when the world tries to tell me otherwise,” the grand marshal insisted. “It’s about standing tall in my identity even when it’s really hard.”

If this is not a “choice,” why are we even celebrating all this?

According to The Daily Mail, Democrat politicians also joined the parade including Florida representative Maxwell Frost who danced on one of the floats.

“This event is important because right now across the state there is a lot of hate but today is about love in the ‘City Beautiful' Orlando, where we love each other no matter what, with music and everything," Frost told a local broadcaster, according to The Daily Mail.

Dempsey’s mom also told The Daily Mail in an interview several years ago that she started believing Dempsey might be transgender from a young age.

“Dempsey has been gender non-conforming since the age of eighteen months old, basically since she was able to express herself. She always gravitated to dolls, dresses, and sparkly objects,” Jaime said.

To say the very least, it is baffling and abhorrent that this woman claims “sparkly things” are justification for psychologically manipulating a young child to this degree.

All of this happened to the child because he liked shiny stuff. What baby doesn't?

Why does it always seem as if it’s the mother who’s front and center in all the gender-bender nonsense?

But this family wants us to believe this definitely wasn’t a “choice.” There is no way his mom “chose” this path for him.

Kids don’t even speak in full sentences at 18 months. But an attraction to shiny things pretty much said it all.

“Our former pediatrician told us that Dempsey was just going through a phase wearing dresses and said 'transgenderism' isn't real,' Jaime said. “She later talked about our family behind our backs referring to us as 'freaks.’”

Well, their former pediatrician was definitely not wrong.

This poor child is now warped into some sick and twisted version of himself. And the worst part about all of this is that it is the kid who will end up bearing the burden. He will have to live with this.
