Ilhan Omar decided that, just days after the murder of Charlie Kirk, the most “productive” thing she could do was to slander him—putting words in his mouth that he never said. She even went so far as to claim Charlie should be remembered for “downplaying slavery and what Black people have gone through in this country by saying Juneteenth shouldn’t exist.”
Ilhan Omar needs to be removed from office and banned from the US Capitol Building.
These comments made about Charlie Kirk in the wake of his assassination are abhorrent and unbecoming of a Member of Congress. pic.twitter.com/f34f9DmGim

It’s unclear if she thought this would make her appear more compassionate than Charlie, but the backlash told a different story. Instead of owning up to it, she tried to blame the Right for “taking her words out of context”—even though her entire statement was the context, and the video receipts prove it.
She never deserved the benefit of the doubt—and that’s now crystal clear. She’s doubled down, insisting Charlie’s legacy shouldn’t be celebrated because he was supposedly “hateful.”
Ilhan Omar’s most recent remarks on Charlie Kirk: “I believe anyone trying to rewrite this hateful man’s history is completely wrong.”
Not only is it completely reprehensible to speak about Charlie this way—especially so soon after he was murdered—but it’s also extremely frustrating how the Left throws around the word “hateful” as if it justifies their rhetoric, which also happens to be hateful.
The Left acts like hating something automatically makes you evil. I hate that Charlie was murdered—does that make me “hateful”? Using that word as a weapon to destroy someone is completely deranged. As a member of Congress, Omar should know better.
Behold: the man the Left keeps calling “hateful.”
One is a conservative and the other is very liberal. Listen how Charlie handles the situation. It shows just who he was. pic.twitter.com/vb3Ko75NBq

Is this really “hateful”? Because if it is, I’m genuinely curious what it means to be compassionate. The Left claims to stand on the side of compassion, so their words and actions should reflect that—but clearly, they don’t, as their behavior repeatedly proves.
Omar could have said nothing the first time, but she chose to be “hateful.” She then doubled down with her disgusting rhetoric, all while proving she hasn’t even watched more than a second of Charlie’s videos. The fact that people see her as an authority figure—enough to keep electing her—is baffling, to say the least. Despite it all, she remains in office—because in politics, audacity often outweighs accountability.
