The “migrants” in New York City are not here because they are hungry. If you were truly starving, would you reject pancakes, sandwiches, and chicken meals? I don’t think you would.

According to The New York Post:

“Several migrants confessed to The Post Friday the meals served up at New York City asylum seeker shelters are so “bad” they often just trash them — with some opting to sneakily cook in their rooms instead.

Their claims of terrible food came a day after it was revealed thousands of uneaten, taxpayer-funded meals prepared for asylum seekers are tossed each day.

‘No one likes the food,’ Jesus Alberto, 31, from Venezuela, told The Post outside the Roosevelt Hotel — the Big Apple’s main migrant intake center. ‘Without lying, it’s bad, bad.’

Meals served to the migrants include pancakes and Quecas, a type of fried tortilla, for breakfast; sandwiches for lunch and dinners including chicken alfredo and chicken with spaghetti.”

This is the perfect example of “choosing beggars.” We all grew up hearing that saying “beggars can’t be choosers.” But when you ignore that advice, you get what is known as the “migrant crisis” in NYC.

The migrants have also complained that there is “nothing healthy” being offered. And to them, I say, ‘Welcome to America.’

One mother even said “The breakfast they give us is very sweet. They give us pancakes, donuts and cookies for breakfast at 6am. It is too sweet to give to my daughter, so I just take a few things,” according to the outlet.

In other words, the donuts are bad to give to her daughter but forcing her two-year-old child to travel over 1,000 miles with a bunch of criminals and cartel members is perfectly alright. But God forbid her daughter is given pancakes because that would mean lines were now crossed.

There are true New Yorkers out there who are suffering to even keep their fridges filled. These migrants don’t deserve anything they are being offered. And it is very clear they have come to NYC expecting a lot more than free pancakes and sandwiches.

“It comes after internal company records obtained by the New York Times revealed one company who serves meals to migrants across the city had to trash more than 70,000 'wasted' migrant meals between October 22 and November 22.

DocGo — who do not provide food for The Roosevelt — were awarded a $432 million no-bid contract by the city to help with migrant services.

Under its hefty million dollar contract, the COVID testing-turned-migrant-shelter firm receives up to $33 per day from the city to provide three meals for each of the 4,000 asylum seekers it looks after — meaning the discarded food over that 20-day stretch would have set taxpayers back roughly $776,000.”

First of all, how in the world was the City able to award a no-bid contract worth over $400 million to some random entity like that? That is insane. This is where the saying “follow the money” may come in handy. Clearly, some people are profiting greatly off of this “migrant crisis,” including the migrants.

The most infuriating part about all of this is that these “asylum seekers” expect the American taxpayers to give them everything for free. Don't you love how some are being treated like a second-class citizen in their own country?
