New Gallup Poll Shows Americans Think Government is Biggest National Problem

Courtney Kirchoff
December 19, 2018

Sit down for this revelation. Gallup released the results of a new poll to show Americans think the government is the biggest problem in their lives. Government, not television reboots, is the most irksome pain in our collective asses. Not climate change. Not gun control. Not white male privilege. Not people owning the libs from their cars. Government.

In the first survey after the midterm Congressional election, mentions of immigration and healthcare as the top problems facing the country are down. Sixteen percent of Americans cite immigration as the top problem, down from 21% last month, while those noting healthcare dropped to 5% from 11%. One in five Americans, 19%, now say some aspect of the federal government is the top problem facing the U.S., little changed from the 18% who said the same last month. Americans were more likely to cite the government as the most important problem facing the U.S. than any other issue.

I'd like to note it's government mouth-breathers who throw chum in the water for all the other issues cited in this poll. Would Americans even care about "unifying the country" if government wasn't the bottomless pit of ooze it is? Would Americans worry about immigration if government actually did what government is actually required to do: protect the nation's sovereignty via some kind of security? Would Americans worry about the environment if Democratic wankers weren't constantly bitching about climate change being humanity's fault? From the comfort of their AC-controlled private jets?

I say no. I say the issues cited in this poll are only issues of concern because the same people in government who earned the top spot for what America thinks is the biggest problem, continue to make problems for the sake of saying they'll solve the problem if you just keep electing them so they can continue to make problems for the sake of solving problems if you just keep electing them so they can...

Annoyingly, I have no solution to fix the problem of government. I'm all ears if you have one.
