Even if you are something of an item on the social medias, due to real-world accomplishments outside of social media, the title of "influencer" is cringe. Please don't use it. Also irritated not only with the title but the "position" some people think they have because of X number of followers, CVT Soft Serve Ice Cream in Los Angeles. They got so sick and tired of social media whores demanding free ice cream in exchange for a social media post, they're now charging "influencers" double.

To the CVT people:

I can't identify with dummies who constantly post dessert photos to Instagram. Once in a while is fine, sure. But all the time? I don't have the restraint. I see a delicious snack and I'm nomming it before I can pull my phone from a back pocket. Ice cream is meant to be devoured, not photoed to however many fake followers you may have to save a few bucks. Just eat the damn ice cream, is what I'm saying.

CVT is leading the way, but they're not the first business to flip both middle digits to mostly Millennial and Generation Z brats who think they're far more important than they are. The White Moose Cafe in Ireland constantly blasts "influencers" and the like on their Facebook page.

If you want ice cream, pay for it. In fact, if you want any good or service, just pay for it. Enough with the "I'll give you exposure!" bull crap. That goes for you businesses hoping to score some free graphic design or marketing talent. Pay for it, you cheap bastards.
