MSNBC is hysterically SHOCKED at how bad Democrats caved and got NOTHING for the Schumer shutdown

NEW: A fuming MSNBC panel finally realizes Dems only kept the government shutdown because they wanted to use it to help them in the elections last Tuesday.
Hylton: “In the wake of the election on Tuesday… And now here [Trump] is winning again. How did he do it?”
Obeidallah: “I… pic.twitter.com/qvzQj10ZNQ

Anyone with a fraction of a brain knows exactly what the Dems are doing, and it certainly is not to serve your interests. And unsurprisingly, an MSNBC panel just admitted that.
Antonia Hylton and Dean Obeidallah are baffled as to why several Dems have “caved” when, according to them, holding the American people hostage in their political games has been working. This is allegedly proven by the fact that they had an amazing night in last week’s election.
But this begs the question: If holding the American people hostage was working, why is it not working? That is something they can never comprehend, but it won't stop them from giving a stern finger pointing to the Dems that have realized something's not working here.
The crazy thing is that it’s not about whether or not Trump gets his way or looks good, especially because when it comes to leftist priorities, he does not really have to try. It's about the fact that lawmakers are supposed to be working in the interest of the American people, and they are doing anything but.
According to the Daily Caller:
Eight Democratic senators defied Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer by expressing their support for the Republican-led continuing resolution (CR) in a procedural vote, which would reopen and fund the government until Jan. 30. The panelists on “The Weekend: Primetime” expressed frustration over the Democrats not being handed the Obamacare subsidies despite shutting the government down for the longest period of time in U.S. history.
If these people truly cared about the American people, they would be advocating to open back up before the holidays. But clearly, their interests are served elsewhere.
“For 40 days, you shut the government down and now you’re going to open the government up and what did you get in return? Nothing? Nothing? After the pain you inflicted, people were willing to take the pain, I talked to union workers from TSA who said, I’ll take the pain, it’s going to help me get health insurance subsidies paid. So you’re getting nothing in return. I don’t know how, and you just won an election on Tuesday, and you lose numbers,” MSNBC daily columnist Dean Obeidallah said.
Nearly 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. This number includes government workers. I wonder how they are taking the pain. And what's even more disingenuous is that TSA workers get health benefits. So, while it was a nice try that Obeidallah claimed TSA agents are willing to work for no pay, I think we all know that could not be further from the truth, as proven by the fact that flight travel was severely disrupted this weekend.
The panelists also agreed that it is unclear why several Democrats flipped their position after they consistently shut the government down over their healthcare demands. Democratic Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine voted in support of reopening the government five days after his party’s sweeping victory in Virginia’s gubernatorial race.
There are many reasons why these Democrats switched their votes. Maybe they are getting too much pressure from voters. Maybe too many people are suffering and cannot take it any longer. It does not matter because, at the end of the day, lawmakers are supposed to be representing you. And the fact that MSNBC has a problem with that tells you what you already knew.
