Islam is a religion of peace… so we’re told. The acts of violence and intolerance are carried out only by a select few radical extremists and are unsupported by Muslims at large. So we’re told.
But on a day like today, where we’ve had three horrendous attacks in France, Kuwait and Tunisia killing at least 40 people, all committed within one day of each other, and all carried out in the name of Islam, it begs the question… is there a trend here?
Combine that with that fact that over a quarter of so called “moderate” Muslims in the United States support violence in the name of Jihad, and you’ve got a real problem on your hands. Also, more than ‘half’ of these ‘moderate Muslims’ support Sharia law as a form of governance. This is a system of law that allows for gross abuses of human rights violations including violence against women, non-Muslims and of course gay people. This is merely in the United States.
When we apply it globally, what do the numbers tell us? Are most Muslims truly “moderate”? Watch and learn…

My friend showed me this video, and I would have to say that it is a good thing we live in a more civilized Christian nation. Christianity certainly doesn’t say you can beat your wives, kill in the name of the religion, be punished for just being a woman, be punished for saying you were raped, be punished for believing in any other religion, or other horrible stuff like that, right? Don’t kill me with laughter. Thank God (get it?) that we’re shedding our medieval beliefs that are written in The Bible. What is it? Oh right… 🙁

This sort of treatment is just about the only way to open the minds of people stubbornly stuck to the idea that Islam, “one of the world’s three great religions,” simply CAN’T be the murderous totalitarian ideology it really is. Bravo, Mr. Crowder.

Great post. The moderate Muslim is a myth. Once Muslims gain control of an area, moderation goes out the window. Having said that, what burns me up are the so-called progressives who nitpick all kinds of things via political correctness, yet somehow remain totally silent when confronted with true evil. It reminds of when the feminists were nowhere to be found when Bill Clinton was abusing women for years. Their hypocrisy was astounding.

Steven, do you know a muslim or care to know one. Or is your opinion based on sensationalized news events that are very marketable to incite anger. These are all rhetorical questions because I already know the answers. Nowhere in quran does it mention stoning women. Slavery is banned in Islam unlike what is preached in the Old Testament and Hinduism. Ever heard of the caste system, yes that’s legalized slavery in Hinduism. What about all those Christian African countries that kill gays, have massive killing sprees and practice barbaric rituals towards women. You don’t hear about that.. What about the violent Catholic Latin Americas. Wonder why there’s a mass exodus fleeing to America. What about them. Again you don’t hear about it. Or isn’t Christianity a religion of anti-science. No belief in evolution, praying one to cure sickness, no belief in birth control. How about the massing killings of scientists and philosophers in the Catholicism. And what about thecrusades where Christians killed whoever didn’t believe in Christianity. Yes, facts don’t matter with hatriots.

You neither care to learn nor want to educate yourself on the topic because that takes effort and integrity. I met some muslims in Iraq. I killed them, it was fun. Good times. Now they are good muslims. Killing all muslims would be a good start to world peace.

Steven, I would love to comment on this on your Facebook page but you blocked me in haste. I actually can agree with you on things including how horrible radical Islam is. Doing “Dirty Muzzie” sketches does not help this problem. I know you are a “comedian” but don’t stereotype all Muslims as radicals. That’s not “political correctness,” it’s just common sense.
Everything about Islam is a myth, fake, plagiarism, just name it! They based their invented religion on scores of elements taken from Judaism, Christianity mixed with all kinds of pagan traditions. The very fact that Muslims must, by Allah, emulate the self proclaimed messenger or prophet called Mohammed, which as we all know had a less than vertuous life-style says it all. Yes Art Davila..there certainly are nice, civilized Muslims..but like I always say: “Not all and every Muslim is a terrorist but most terrorists happen to be Muslims…what can “common sense” suggest?
Joe – you must have read an edited vesion of the Koran. In the unedited Koran their are many verses that shatter the notion that Islam is a religion of peace. There are also verses that state that women are inferior to men and have less rights. And there are passeges that promote the killing of non-believers and the enslavement of their women. The founding prophet practised the same philosophy in his life. Little wonder he incorporated these versus into the Koran. He had to justify his abhorrent behaviour. I admire your attempts to defend the Koran but you are fighting a losing battle. More and more people including Muslims are becoming aware of the true nature of the Koran.
Theocracy kills. It always has. Christianity, rooted in the barbaric (sharia-like) mosaic law (though softened for a spell by the synoptic gospels), murdered its way to gain and hold power from the late 4th to the 18th century. The routine burning of heretics and mass pogroms against Jews were justified by quoting scripture. The only saving grace (if I may) for western Christianity is humanism…those who challenged dogma, the rule of clerics and gave us the free republican governments we have today. Hence, when we argue on behalf of secular humanism (not communism), we argue for that essential thing that protects both church and state in the west. It is not anti-christian.
