WATCH: Trans owner of Miss Universe proclaims pageant is run by 'women,' for all 'women'
Watch out, ladies: men aren't just replacing you in sports. Now, not even Miss Universe is safe from the woke gender-bending mob.
Last year, Thai reality star Anne Jakrajutatip became the first 'woman' to own the pageant after purchasing it for $20 million. There's just one problem: s/he's a man, baby. Or, as the AP Styleguide states, a woman, and don't you dare say otherwise.
During the recent pageant in New Orleans, Kajrajutatip claimed, "From now on it’s going to be run by women, owned by a trans woman for all women around the world to celebrate the power of feminism!"
“Anne Jakrajutatip, the new owner of Miss Universe, delivered an empowering speech yesterday: “Welcome to the new era. From now on it’s gonna be run by women, owned by a trans woman, for all women around the world.””— Dan Hastings-நாராயணன் (@Dan Hastings-நாராயணன்) 1673786254
Yeah, about that...is it really "feminism" if it favors people who were born men titles that should belong to, y'know, ACTUAL women? Seems a bit contradictory, no? Just me? Ok.
The Wall Street Journal detailed an interview with Kajrajutatip titled, "Miss Universe Is Now Owned by a Woman. Will It Change?" Speaking on how the pageant will change under "female" leadership, Kajrajutatip said, "You're going to see the women's empowerment platform because the hosts, two of them, they are female. Commentators, they're all female. The judges, they're all female. The owner is the woman. The president of the company is a woman. The CEO of the company is also a woman. So everybody, we are women on the stage. If you are a man, you're not allowed to go on the stage, my dear. That is the evolution of Miss Universe. What you're going to see."
No man is ever going to go on stage? Hmmm...
Donald Trump was the owner of Miss Universe until 2015, when he sold it to the talent agency, WME-IMG. Trump's ownership of the pageant came under fire after his controversial statements about illegal immigrants during the 2016 campaign. NBC refused to air the Miss USA pageant over the remarks.
And now, after a few years of turmoil, Miss Universe is back in the hands of a reality star who at least at one point had a penis. Progress!
