Apparently the Miss America Pageant was last night. Yeah, I know! I was busy not watching it too. But apparently Miss South Carolina Daja Dial had something to say about guns that surprised people.

During the interview portion, the question asked was,  "Do you support a ban on military-style assault weapons?"

I don't...if we teach people the proper way to use guns than we will reduce the risk of having gun related accidents. It starts with education.

Here's the really shocking thing though. It's not what she said. Anyone with a lick of sense would pretty much agree with her. Left or right.

It's that instead of burying the comment like you would expect leftists to do, the Miss America Pageant is putting it front and center with it's own Facebook meme and everything...

Miss Georgia won...no, we don't think Miss South Carolina lost because of the gun question. We do however think she was asked that question because of the Charleston shootings, fully expecting her to give the typical, fall-in-line, world-peace, vanilla, meaningless beauty pageant answer.

Instead, she surprised us. With logic. Good for her.

But just for good measure, we'll still claim that she only lost because the judges were racist. #BlackBeautyPageantContestantLivesMatter
