MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski Victim-Shames Al Franken Accuser
Al Franken did a stand up routine for his soon-to-be former Senate colleagues yesterday. How kind of him. There was an especially good bit about him resigning - eventually - for being all grabby on women's rear-ends. Except, it's all Trump's fault.
Al's non-apology was panned by many. From the accuser herself, to '90s sitcom stars.
But not Mika Brzezinski. She chose to go after the accuser instead.
“We’ve never really talked about the woman who first came out against Al Franken, a Playboy model who goes on Hannity, voted for Trump. I see some politics there, but I haven’t brought that up every step of the way because of course, in this ‘Me Too’ environment, you must always believe the women.”
“I’m just wondering if all the women need to be believed. I’m concerned that we are being the judge the jury and the cops here and so did Senate Democrats getting ahead of their skis.”
So, we should doubt the accuser because she used to model without her clothes on? So much for "women's empowerment." Also, what happened to the leftist law of "believe the victim?"
You can't blame Mika too much though. She's behind the times. But, not by much. Up until recently, leftists looked the other way as their progressive comrades sexually-harassed every skirt-wearer from Tinseltown to the District of Columbia. Mika's unaware we're in a post-Weinstein world now.
Al Franken may not be on the same level as other pervy dickweeds. But, he's still a giant doucheburrito with extra sriracha and photographic evidence against him. No matter if the woman votes for Trump or takes her clothes off for money, if she didn't want her chesticles grasped and she has proof, she has a case.
Get with the times, Mika.
