Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey claimed it’s not American to hold people accountable for breaking American immigration law. And in the same breath, he proceeded to justify his stance in a foreign language. The parody is beyond parody at this point, as the jokes write themselves.

According to Reuters:

Officials in Minneapolis on Tuesday said they were not aware of imminent federal immigration raids targeting the area’s Somali community, which has come under blistering attacks from U.S. President Donald Trump in recent days.

Question: If making sure American law is upheld to the fullest extent possible is “not American,” then what is? Surely the officials of Somalia would not be so kind to Americans if they were to break their immigration laws. So it begs the question: why is the United States the only country not allowed to have borders? Why is it only wrong when we do it? That is something Frey will never explain, and if he does, it certainly won’t be in English.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, responding to a report in the New York Times that upward of 100 federal immigration agents were poised to descend on his city and neighboring St. Paul to target undocumented Somali residents, said regardless of whether raids were coming, the Somali community would be supported in every way possible by local authorities.

Last time I checked, this was called “obstruction of justice.” However, I am no legal expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, even if these people wish to defend Somali nationals, why must they defend those who disrespect our laws? Again, they won’t be able to explain this, especially not in English.

Frey, a Democrat, said local police would not work with federal agents on any immigration matters, and he strongly criticized Trump’s recent attacks on the Somali community, including on Tuesday when the president called them “garbage” and said “we don’t want them in our country.”

“To villainize an entire group is ridiculous under any circumstances,” Frey said.

It’s not vilifying an entire group of people. It’s holding those who have broken our laws to the fullest extent possible. Why is it so hard for them to understand? Someone should really inform these people that just because someone comes from a crappy country, that does not automatically make them immune to legal enforcement. But they don’t care, as they pathetically speak in a foreign language to pretend to defend one thing or another.

Some humans are illegal, and the sooner the left realizes that, the better off legal Americans will be. Until then, don’t expect them to do anything more than pander to a group of people who disrespect our laws, and that is putting it lightly.
