BOOM! Marine Le Pen Slays Reporter over Fake News: 'People Have No Confidence in Media...'
The French are known for many things. Like French fries, Gerard Depardieu, "frenching" but hopefully not Gerard. No offense. One area they've been recently lacking is that of supreme ass kickery. But, sometimes the Frenchies can prove us wrong. As was the case with presidential candidate, Marine Le Pen; when asked by a leftist reporter why she would encourage people to use the Internet for information, Le Pen served the mademoiselle a beatdown of Waterloo-like proportions...
Translated for us non-Frogs...
Reporter: You say, "Turn away from the traditional media, go and find news on the Internet." Aren't you aware that it could be dangerous, talking like that?
Le Pen: Why?
Reporter: On the Internet you can find conspiracy theories, all types of things...it's not necessarily verified information.
Le Pen: Don't you think that the traditional media have conspiracy theories? I have read a ton of things about Russia intervening in the presidential campaign and other things like that. I mean, there is at least as much fake news in the traditional media as on the Internet...
Reporter: But tomorrow all sorts of things could be written, for example about you, on the Internet. And you incite the people to go and find information on the Internet! About things that weren't verified!
Le Pen: Madame, French people have no confidence in the media whatsoever, are you aware of that, or not?
Oh! THUG LIFE!
Look, Marine Le Pen isn't a perfect human being, and no one says she is. But she just delivered the smackdown on this reporter that's too true for our written words.
People aren't falling for the media's merde anymore. You would think they'd have figured that out, what with the massive proliferation of online websites (such as this one) offering alternative commentary to that provided by mainstream news outlets. If the media was doing a shiny job of reporting news without bias, there wouldn't be an alternative media. Alas, the left can't help but spread their fake news like Michael Moore slathers his breakfast bagel with Nutella. Mmmm... DECEPTION!
If that reporter didn't know people took news as seriously as Frosted Flakes, she does now. Somewhere along the line, the mainstream media morphed into a propaganda wing for the left. With news faker than Pamela Anderson's breasteses. Sans the bouncing delight. These days, the truth is only relevant when it lines up with the controlling party's platform. When the truth fails to meet a narrative's goal, it gets thrown out like a moldy baguette.
Speaking of fake news...
