One of the most ironic things about the left is that they claim to be all in it for immigrant rights when they actively campaign against the interests of those communities.

Many grocery stores and bodegas are owned by immigrants in New York City. Mamdani just announced he will be opening up several city-run grocery stores at a 30% discounted rate. You don't have to be a genius to understand this could drive many mom and pop shops out of business, and arguably, hurt the immigrant community the most.

But what do you expect when these are the same people who don't believe in borders? You can't be all in it for immigrants when you also turn a blind eye to illegal immigration, and in many cases, actively fund it.

An immigrant-led business group is gearing up to sue New York City over Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s controversial plan to open five taxpayer-funded supermarkets — claiming the $70 million project will create unfair competition for nearby stores, The Post has learned.

Again, while the mayor claims he will be all in it for the little guy, he implements policies and initiatives that hurt those trying to make an honest living and produce goods for the community. But what else is new?

As the far-left mayor announced new details of his plan this week — including a 30% discount on basic items like produce, meat, milk, cheese and bread – the Multicultural Business Coalition’s board voted to file a lawsuit in the coming weeks to block the pricey initiative, the group’s chairman Frank Garcia told The Post.

“The mayor doesn’t seem to want to sit down with us,” Garcia said, adding that Mamdani “won’t be able to bully these lawyers we are going to bring in.”

That is because he is a communist who despises those making an honest living. He does not care that the majority of these mom-and-pop bodegas are struggling to make ends meet. Nope. He wants to do things the commie way, and the only way for that to work is by expanding government, massively spending funds, destroying small businesses, and making everyone worse off. But again, what else is new?
