NEW: Renee Good's former father-in-law says he doesn’t blame ICE, calls on people to love one another, turn from their wicked ways and turn to God.
CNN’s Erin Burnett kept prodding Timmy Macklin Sr. to get him to take a side.

There are many ways one can view the death of Renee Good. The left would like to blame ICE. Some may even blame her wife. But, according to her father-in-law, the only blame is her lack of faith. According to Timmy Macklin Sr., the resolution is not to pick a side, but to realize that “if she were walking in the spirit of God, I don't think she would have been there.”
The reason why this is likely true is that if she dedicated her life to a relationship with the Lord, she wouldn't have felt so compelled to consume herself with leftist ideology. Not only would she have realized that God does approve of separate nations, but that she wouldn't realize her goodness is not a result of appealing to leftist ideology.
According to Macklin, he said, “We need to turn to God and walk in the spirit of God.” In other words, we shouldn't be so consumed with picking sides or declaring one is more evil than the other, but we must and should live by God's word. This is the only way out of the equation and the only way to the truth.
CNN’s Erin Burnett, however, did not like this answer. This is why she pressed him to pick a side when asking about whether or not he blamed his daughter-in-law or ICE agents. He acknowledged that he saw the car hit his leg, adding that it’s hard to know how someone would react unless they were in that situation.
His next response was better than you think:
“I don't blame ICE. I don't blame Rebecca. I don't blame Renee. I just wish that, you know, if we're walking in the spirit of God, I don't think she would have been there. That's the way I look at it.”
His message to the ICE agent was that he needs to turn to the Lord. By quoting John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
He concluded by emphasizing that the Lord is the only way to have peace in the world. And if that is not the best interpretation of this situation, nothing is. No matter what you think of this situation, no matter who you think was right or wrong, the Lord is the only way to truth. The sooner the left realizes that, the better off this country will be.
