CAUGHT ON HIDDEN CAMERA: LA Housing Department Financial Officer Admits Witnessing Multiple Instances of Fraud Up To “$10–$20 Million” & “Going To People’s Pockets,” Homeless Developers Committing Forms Of Embezzlement, With Superiors Looking The Other Way To Help Mayor Karen… pic.twitter.com/v69h2RsuMb

If you are surprised by this, you are not paying attention.
The O’Keefe Media Group exposed how much of a scam the LA Housing Department truly is, as the organization claims to house the unhoused, while the only ones benefiting from it are NGOs and developers.
Donald Byers, a Finance Development Officer from the Los Angeles housing programs, admitted on undercover video to multiple instances of fraud, up to $20 million in some instances, while corrupt developers and NGOs fill their pockets. According to Byers, this is done because officials continue to turn a blind eye, in hopes of LA Mayor Karen Bass maintaining enough funds for reelection.
“If they [LA Housing Department] were to call out the people [Developers] contacting Karen Bass’s office, she might not get enough money for re-election — or for what she needs done.”
“For whatever reason, LAHSA gets allocated a ton of money, but they [LAHSA] don’t really have a whole lot to show for it.”
Is it really a coincidence that the more money the city spends on housing the "unhoused," the worse the problem seems to get? That is because the problem has nothing to do with a lack of housing.
Ironically, last week Bass announced an additional 360 million dollars in funds to prevent homelessness. It is unclear how you prevent a problem that already exists, but I digress. Nonetheless, these funds are allegedly going to be used to fund more affordable housing projects. And while I have no evidence that this money will be used to fill the pockets of corrupt developers, while the problem continues to grow by the day, if the shoe fits, it fits.

If I did not know any better, I might just say the homeless industrial complex is one of the biggest scams in modern history, but I do know better, so I will not be saying that.
