While it’s the norm for “wannabe influencers” to do anything for clicks, this is a whole new level of derangement that no one predicted.
According to the New York Post, “A wannabe social media influencer went viral this week when he handed out 18-inch machetes and booze to homeless people in Austin and New Orleans in a bizarre stunt he insisted was for their benefit.”
You may be asking, “What could go wrong?” Well, the answer is that many, many things could go horribly wrong from this. And they likely will. People will get hurt, and this is not only unacceptable, but it’s evil, reprehensible, deranged, immoral, and a whole other list of adjectives that goes without saying.
Keith Castillo — who goes by “povwolfy” — posted a video on Thanksgiving to TikTok and Instagram that garnered more than 14 million views.
A caption reads, “Keeping the homeless in the streets,” apparently mocking the plight of those without a place to call their own.
The stainless steel Gordon-brand machetes were still wrapped in packaging. Castillo told The Post he purchased them in bulk from online retailer Harbor Freight for less then $5 each.
Nothing says Thanksgiving like handing out 18-inch blades and booze to a seriously mentally insane population. Just when you think you have seen it all, here comes a story like this. This is debauchery on a whole new level.
So far, he’s armed homeless folks in Austin, New Orleans, and Little Rock — but he has his sights set on larger skylines.
“I have plans to go to Vegas, Skid Row [in L.A.] soon,” Castillo said.
“I should be in New York in January, I have a lot of friends out there,” he said. “Go hand out a bunch of machetes and fireballs there, too.” The fireballs he referred to are one-ounce bottles of 66-proof Cinnamon whisky.
Oh sure. Just go announce your plans on the interweb about distributing deadly weapons to people who are not only mentally ill but severely addicted to substances. While these clicks will likely be clicking, at what cost? He is able to sleep at night knowing that he distributed deadly weapons to these people and the potential harm it could cause, and all he cares about is his “fake influence.” The morals are severely lacking with this one, to say the very least.
While I am no legal expert, I would not be surprised if his social media presence takes a hit because he’s held, in part, accountable for distributing a deadly weapon that was used in a crime. But again, I am no legal expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, the fact that this is allowed on social media while conservatives are banned for being politically incorrect proves just how ill the priorities of our tech overlords are. And that is putting it lightly.
Some accounts may or may not deserve to be banned. This may or may not be one of those accounts. You do the math.
