Understandably, someone may not agree with initiatives undertaken by the Trump Administration, but it’s extremely bizarre when people break out in song to try to prove a point, especially one that’s already extremely weak.

Several elderly liberals from Portland have filmed themselves singing This Land Is Your Land in an effort to stick it to the Trump Administration. It’s unclear who they thought this would convince, considering their attempt was comical at best — but we can at least give them credit for trying, I suppose.

Nonetheless, we all know these people are in bed by an objectively early hour. It’s also very likely they have no idea what’s actually going on in Portland — and if they did find out, they’d probably be extremely horrified.

One of the messages they mention is that “Portland is not a military target.” The only problem with that is that no one ever said it was. No one wants to “invade” Portland — but the authorities simply aren’t doing their job. If these people knew the extent of what goes on in their city after dark, they’d be begging the Trump Administration to step in.

The only other message they shared was that “Portland is home.” And while that may be true for them, what they fail to recognize is that it’s also home to some of the most radical, violent leftists this country has ever seen. Again, if they truly understood that, they wouldn’t be singing songs they learned back in elementary school.

Really, what do they expect the response to this to look like?

People living nearby are continuously terrorized night after night, and that has no place in a civil society. These are things you see in failing nations, not in America. So, while we can conclude that the geriatric liberals meant well, they truly represent the embodiment of this country’s most naive voting base.
