As President Trump tries to get his policy initiatives implemented, the courts are doing everything to block his efforts. Today’s show breaks down the big problems and why they are being blocked.

The Supreme Court rejected Trump’s bid to enforce restrictions on mail-in ballots ahead of the midterms. This was to ensure only eligible voters returned mail-in ballots.

According to Fox News:

In a brief order, the court said the government was "unlikely to succeed on the merits" for purposes of obtaining emergency relief and had not shown that the legal and practical considerations warranted a stay.

“Does everyone agree this is reasonable, especially as just a fail-safe against something the left says is not happening?” Crowder said. “Even though the Supreme Court blocked it, they agree it is reasonable.”

The rules would require federal ballot mail to be sent in envelopes bearing an election-mail logo, capable of being scanned by high-speed equipment and carrying a barcode unique to each voter.

"In my view, based on the briefing the Court has received at this interim stage, there is at least a fair prospect that the final rule falls within the Postal Service’s statutory authority," Kavanaugh wrote.

However, he said attempting to apply the rules during the 2026 elections would be "arbitrary and capricious" under the Administrative Procedure Act because state and local election officials do not have enough time to reasonably implement them.

In 2020, the Supreme Court allowed Pennsylvania to count votes three days after the election because it indicated “there is simply not enough time at this late date to decide the question before the election."

So, before the election, they said we have to allow mass mail-in ballots. However, after the election, they say we cannot do anything about it. Now, the courts have indicated that while there is a good chance it will rule in Trump’s favor in the future, we have to allow the absurdity to go on for the midterms.

“There have been many, many attempts that are being blocked by district judges in some cases, whom you haven't voted for, who don't represent you, and who dictate national policy. District judges have more authority than the president of the United States as it relates to national elections. Saying that that needs to change is not antidemocratic," Crowder said. “The left, the part of Democracy, they want a judgment no matter where it is. They want to determine immigration law for you.”

In a separate case, Trump attempted to end foreign visa abuse by limiting how long foreign students can stay in the U.S.

“The older system made it really easy to abuse student visas and made it too hard to catch security risks. Without Trump's rule, foreign grad students could basically stay indefinitely. Come here on a student visa, take a few courses, and stay for decades,” Crowder said.

"The damage to the higher education system and to the economy of the United States is likely to be catastrophic," Saylor wrote.

“Another unelected judge setting policy for you,” Crowder said.
