Do you realize how entitled someone has to be to be worth millions of dollars and still play the victim? Apparently, as entitled as Joy Reid. That’s why JD Vance had no choice but to shut down her comments, as no one thought it was possible to display that level of arrogance.

According to Reid, her mother realized shortly after immigrating from Guyana that America was certainly not the land of opportunity. Yet that supposed lack of opportunity somehow led Reid to earn millions of dollars from a national TV show that few people watched. She wasn’t even particularly skilled at her job, yet she was rewarded for reasons that defy logic. Nonetheless, the fact that she continues to portray herself as a victim, despite having more wealth than the majority of the world could ever dream of, is astonishing.

What more does she want? What would have to happen for her to feel like she had enough opportunity? There are people barely making $7.25 an hour in AMERICA, and we can be almost certain that many of them don’t complain nearly as much as she does—and that’s before taxes.

Ironically, by her own statements earlier this week, she doesn’t even want Americans to have this so-called “opportunity.” She would prefer that the government tax you more and regulate your business into oblivion. It’s unclear how much more “opportunity” this would give her or you, but that is neither here nor there.

As Vance said, Reid “would be a much happier person if” she just “showed a little gratitude” for the things she’s been fortunate to have—many of which the majority of the world would never have the “opportunity” for. Her constant complaining not only does no one any favors, including herself, but also highlights just how entitled she is. Complaining about how hard life is while being worth millions is a luxury reserved for the world’s richest people, and the sooner she realizes that, the better off she will be.
