"They want to silence us...": Kari Lake speaks out on AZGOP scandal with Crowder
Today’s show featured guest Kari Lake to discuss updates on Arizona Republican Chair Jeff DeWitt's failure to bribe her.
Arizona GOP Chair Jeff DeWit said that he was "set up" by Lake’s campaign in an audio recording that allegedly contained an attempt to bribe her to prevent her from running for Senate, according to Fox News. DeWit subsequently resigned the following day and said the recording was a "deceptive tactic" by Lake and doubled down on his statements by alleging that she was "on a mission to destroy" him, the outlet reported.
"What they do is attack the messenger. They will say "Oh, I cannot believe you would record him. That was a conversation,' rather than addressing the content," Crowder said. "I am glad he resigned."
You cannot bribe Lake because she is determined to head over to Washington D.C. to help “drain the swamp.”
"This is why they hate Trump. Washington D.C. hates Trump. I want to send people to Washington D.C. that Washington D.C. hates," Lake said. "I am not going to join the backscratching club. I am going to join the ass-kicking club."
In Jan. 2025, Lake says she sees herself standing on the Senate floor for inauguration day.
"I am thinking about our country right now. It weighs very heavy on my heart how we get through this very tumultuous year and if we can survive on the other side of it. I think the best place for me is the U.S. Senate. We need the Republicans in charge of the Senate. We cannot have Chuck Schumer in charge in the White House," Lake said. "We have a great opportunity in Arizona to take back this Senate seat from a liberal who is sitting in that seat right now."
There is a reason they hate populous candidates.
"What we have done is that we have educated the public as to what we are doing. So they have to come up with new ways each time and I think they are really worried about how they are going to cheat or rig the next election. That is why they are trying to lock Trump up [and] that is why they are coming after me," Lake said. "They want to silence us... [but] I am not going to shut my mouth."
