There are 42 days until Election Day, and it's important to train our fire on the left and not each other. So, I don't have much to say about Trump announcing a "media ban" as opposed to doing anything American voters actually care about 42 days before they go vote.

However, if you're going to ban media outlets and create a free speech brouhaha, effective messaging would be helpful. As is usually the case with this administration, JD Vance comes in clutch with an analogy that is hard to refute.

Vance was having a kibitz on a tarmac with a collection of reporters when he was asked about the "media ban."

We have to remember, those three outlets account [for] about 92% of the stories that they have on the president of the United States, on the administration, are negative. ...If you're going to engage in what is effectively far-left propaganda, why would a Republican White House give you special access?

Vance correctly pointed out how the three outlets - CNN, MS NOW, and Politico - weren't "banned." They still have their First Amendment rights to do journalisming. They just aren't getting special privileges or a front-row seat. Then Vance drew an analogy that, quite frankly, more on the right need to make.

Politico is as anti-Trump as Breitbart was anti-Obama or anti-Biden. Now, why on God's green earth would Donald Trump be expected to give Politico special access?

You can go shot for shot with a biased against Biden/Obama article from Breitbart with a biased against Trump article from Politico. The only difference is there is more of a chance of a right-wing outlet providing links and more of a chance of a left-wing outlet providing alleged anonymous sources.

Breitbart, Daily Caller, Washington Free Beacon...none of them (or us) hide our biases. CNN, MS Meow, and Politico pretend that they are "legitimate" and "unbiased" when anyone with the slightest bit of reading comprehension skills or functioning eye sockets knows that's not the case.

More and more people who are going into journalsiming as a profession are doing so because they don't think the media is biased enough toward the left. It's the Jon Stewart effect.

There is a pipeline of democrat adminstration to cable news to democrat adminstration to cable news. See Psaki, Jen, for example.

Vance could have also made the case that he didn't hear people complaining when CNN encouraged the People Who Controlled Joe Biden Adminstration to ban Fox News from the White House pool.

Vance COULD have made that case, but Fox News has been abused and bullied by their peers for so long, they think if they kiss ass enough they'll be allowed to sit at the cool kids' table.

Politico, CNN, and MS Meow are no different than a biased conservative media outlet. Other than a) they're biased Marxist media outlets, and b) we're honest about our biases while they think the American people are stupid.

JD Vance continues to be the best and most effective messenger for this adminstration. I wish there was more of him and less boomer rants on TruthSocial.
