Over the weekend, Donald Trump fulfilled another campaign promise and took out Iran's nuclear weapon capabilities. Planes were flown. Bombs we dropped. So much winning was had. At least for now. There is a lot to unpack as the day unfolds, so for now let's focus on silliness. De facto leader of the Democrat Party, Jasmine Crockett, is getting big mad that Donald Trump didn't call her first to let her know what his plans were.

Jasmine did a twenty-minute stream on the TikTok that was a lot of "rackle rackle rackle" every Democrat says. This was the bit that went viral.

A few things. One, the president needs authorization from Congress to declare war. He doesn't need it to carry out missions such as the one over the weekend. Letting Congress, and therefore the world, know ahead of time kinda defeats the purpose of a covert mission. The only people he should inform are the "Gang of Eight," of which Jasmine is not one of.

There is some dispute over whether Trump informed any Democrat. An anonymous source speaking on the condition of anonymity tells CNN that he did not. Karoline Leavitt says, on the record, that it's fake news.

There are still some questions that need to be answered, particularly regarding "regime change." No one wants another regime change war. Various voices on the MAGA influencer right have been saying Israel and the neocons were getting us a regime change war, even though the White House wasn't talking about regime change. In fact, yesterday morning, both JD Vance and Marco Rubio appeared on the Sunday shows, stating that no one is talking about regime change.

The rub is that later that afternoon, President Trump was talking about regime change.

Our boy Lane explains what we "hope" Trump is saying. If the Iranian people change on their own, good for them. But American soldiers should not be involved. We've been watching that movie for decades.

We'll see how things continue to unfold over the course of the week. Though if there is one thing we can all be thankful for, it's that neither Jasmine Crockett nor any member of the Democrat Party she leads will be a part of the decision-making process.
