Watch: Did the Irish Government get YouTube to remove our Ireland riots/Conor McGregor video?
It hurts me that the old country has become our latest "Pay Attention, America" example. I have my Irish flag, the one I wore to UFC 205 when Conor McGregor became the champ-champ (and when Becky Lynch did at WrestleMania), hanging up in my gym. But this video that I had bookmarked from yesterday took on a new meaning after YouTube removed ANOTHER one of our videos.
For those of you playing the home game, that now makes THREE this week.
Fine Gael, the party of the progressive centre and part of the current coalition Government of Ireland (that's what they call it when you don't have a two-party system like a proper country), shared a video of "Justice" Minister Helen McEntee talking about how every social media company was willing to do the government's bidding... except for Elon Musk's X.
Remember, this is a politician bragging that they got this done and acting like it should be the norm. And I quote:
I spoke to a detective who was actively engaged with the social media companies throughout Thursday. She said very clearly that [social media companies] were responding, they were engaging [with Irish authorities] and they were taking down these vile posts as they came up. X (formerly Twitter) was not. And this is why we are moving to a situation where these companies do not get to self-monitor.
I get that all these lasses look alike. This is a different Irish broad than the one who bragged about limiting the freedom of citizens for the "common good."
It was another Elon Musk "Go F*ck Yourself" moment and an excuse to BUY THE T-SHIRT. But then, after this video dropped on November 29th, we got an email from YouTube on November 30th.
We wanted to let you know we just removed Globalist Backlash: Ireland Riots After Migrant Stabbing, McGregor Investigated for Hate Speech?! on the Steven Crowder channel for violating YouTube's Harassment Policy.
Note: The video is still up on Rumble, who are the OG's in telling the UK to go f*ck themselves.
Per our harassment policy, content that contains prolonged insults ... isn't allowed. This includes content discussing public officials.
However, while they removed the video, there was no additional penalty applied to our channel. As opposed to the other times they removed one of our videos and got orgasmic applying those penalties.
This makes me believe we didn't actually violate a policy as much as YouTube got a call from the government. A government that is out there BRAGGING they made calls and had content removed. Though it begs the question which is worse: the government that is honest about it, or the government that works behind the scenes to censor Americans?
It was a trick question. The answer is to sign up for MugClub. It's the only effective way to tell Big Tech and these censoring twats to go f*ck themselves.
