What really makes you concerned about climate change is how serious the alarmists take it. To them, global warming of the hot hots is no laughing matter, especially to the ones laughing (see Green New Deal Architect: Climate Change is 25 Holocausts and MSNBC Guest Compares Climate Change to Space Alien Invasion). Adding to the super seriousness is Iceland. Who held a funeral for the first glacier whose life was cut tragically short by the changing and warming global climate. A moment of silence, please:

Iceland has marked its first-ever loss of a glacier to climate change as scientists warn that hundreds of other ice sheets on the subarctic island risk the same fate.

As the world recently marked the warmest July ever on record, a bronze plaque was mounted on a bare rock in a ceremony on the barren terrain once covered by the Okjökull glacier in western Iceland.

Around 100 people walked up the mountain for the ceremony, including Iceland’s prime minister, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, the former UN human rights commissioner Mary Robinson, and local researchers and colleagues from the United States who pioneered the commemoration project.

Why, yes. This is the same Iceland that eliminated Down syndrome by aborting anyone who might have Down syndrome. I have not seen an article about any funerals for the hundreds if not thousands of little babies who were ripped from their mothers wombs all for the crime of having just one extra chromosome. But a giant block of floating ice that melted over time, finally succumbing to a hot July, that clump of hydrogen and oxygen got a plaque.

What's that you say? Some glaciers that melt also... freeze again? Why, yes. Glaciers that were said to be melting are growing again.

You know what doesn't grow again? Dead babies. Yes, even those with an extra chromosome and the uncanny ability to warm your heart with just their smiles.

But so glad to see the great nation of Iceland has its priorities in check.
