Can you name a “police agency with an increase of 700% in assaults on officers? No? I didn't think so. This is precisely why federal ICE agents have been relying on masks to conceal their identity, as they fear that rioters may dox them and their families.

This is also why Tom Homan said what needed to be said when questioned why agents “have been masked to protect their identities.”

It’s unclear if she has sympathy for ICE agents who have been attacked by rioters, but you do the math.

According to the Daily Caller:

Border czar Tom Homan clashed with Politico’s Dasha Burns in a Sunday interview where she cast doubt on the necessity of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents wearing masks during enforcement operations.

Despite increased attacks, Democratic Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey and Alex Padilla of California introduced a bill July 8 that would bar ICE agents and other federal immigration authorities from donning face masks during most enforcement operations. Burns, on “The Conversation with Dasha Burns,” said many people are “up in arms” about ICE wearing masks, saying it’s “not something that we’ve really had on this scale in this country,” prompting Homan to interrupt her to note the ramping up of attacks against agents.

Don’t you just wish that people like Cory Booker and Alex Padilla fought for you in the same way they defend foreign nationals who have broken federal immigration laws?

“Well, we never had the scale of attacks on ICE we have now — up 700% attacks on ICE, doxing against ICE agents,” Homan said.

Think about it. ICE agents are wearing masks because rioters have been targeting them and their families just for doing their jobs and enforcing the law. But instead of calling out the violence, the left seems more upset that these agents are actually doing what they were hired to do. That really tells you where their priorities are. And pretending that puts them on the "compassionate” side is a slap in the face to the brave men and women on the ground and to everyone who just wants to live in a country where the law actually means something.

That being said, some people are in this country illegally, and the sooner the left accepts that reality, the better off they'll be. Until then, don’t expect the attacks on ICE agents to stop, as those pushing for open borders keep showing us exactly where they stand.
