Hillary Clinton On SNL. A Funny, But Defeatist Sketch...
We've mentioned before about being fans of Kate McKinnon's portrayal of Hillary Clinton on SNL. She plays her as cold, calculating and phony. You know, like Hillary Clinton. No doubt there's some serious method acting at play here.
Well guess who showed up to try and act like she's one of the regular people? To mixed reviews...
This time, Kate McKinnon played Hillary Clinton who was drinking in the bar, and the real Clinton played "Val," the bartender, which might have been an even better decision. "I'm just regular citizen who believes that the keystone pipeline will destroy the environment," she quipped as she introduced herself.
Credit where it's due. It's been fun watching Darryl Hammond's impersonation of Bill over the years go from one of respect to "wow, this guy is lecherous..." And it's been a noticeable shift.
Not exactly what @billclinton expected. #SNLhttps://t.co/gcV7IFzTPT

Also, Hillary Clinton's impression of Trump is better than Jimmy Fallon's, though not as good as this guy's...
So fine...SNL tried to give Hillary struggling campaign a boost. Every now and then they have to throw off the chains of comedy and go full-political-activism mode. But Hillary is not the hill they want to die on. Give a week or two, and they'll go right back to making fun of her.
Then they'll start pushing Bernie or Biden. Bet on it.
